Christopher Emdin will give a book talk about his just-published For White Folks Who Teach in the Hood…And the Rest of Y’all Too: Reality Pedagogy and Urban Education on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Cambridge Public Library in Cambridge, MA.
Dr. Emdin’s presentation will be the continuation of the first annual Educators of Color Conference at Cambridge, Rindge and Latin School from 8:00-1:00 that same day.
Books will be available for purchase on site. Emdin’s book comes after his celebrated lectures as part of the Simmons College and Beacon Press Race, Education and Democracy series. He delivered a series of lectures at the Cambridge Public Library in 2014 that later became the featured book.
